Polyphony
MOMA Tbilisi 30 June to 19 July 2017
Until 2017, Boris Kocheishvili was not shown in Georgia, his ancestors’ homeland. Despite not conducting any exhibitions in the country, the artist had been creating worlds featuring a thin Georgian line of mountains forming the horizon and a magnificent feast in the landscape for years.
At the exhibition at the Tbilisi MOMA, the audience could see his graphics, paintings, and sculptural reliefs with elements of video art, as well as read his poems that became a part of the project.
“Polyphony” finally united the works with their thematic and visual background, shedding light on an aspect of Boris Kocheishvili’s creative choices.
